A Celebration of kwanzaa

Kwanzaa is a seven day celebration of community, family and culture, established as a means to help African Americans reconnect with their African roots and heritage. It begins on December 26th and runs through January 1st each year.  Children ages 6-14 are invited to Hammonds House Museum for A Celebration of Kwanzaa. Learn the communal principles and traditions of Kwanzaa, enjoy stories and tales from the Kuumba Storytellers and participate in hands on activities.
