Lynn Marshall-Linnemeier is an award-winning photo-based mixed media artist. She incorporates photography, painting, writing, and primary source documents from diaries and letters, to examine and define historical figures whose presence she finds compelling. Born in Pineville, NC, Lynn Marshall-Linnemeier earned a BFA from the Atlanta College of Art and an MA in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi. Marshall-Linnemeier is currently a visiting professor of Mixed Media Painting and Sculpture at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. She also teaches at Spelman College in Atlanta. She is the former professor of photography at Emory University. Her work is held in the MOCA GA permanent collection as well as at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the High Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, among others.
